Welding Electrode Production Line
Brief introduction of production technology of welding electrode
The manufacturing process of welding electrodes must go through multiple processes, which can be summarized into eight main processes:
1. Processing of welding core
a. The carbon steel disk circle enters the shell peeling and derusting process through the shell peeling machine to clean the oxide scale and rust spots on the surface of the wire rod.
b. The wire rod is rolled into taper shape by using a tip rolling machine, and the tapered wire rod after the tip rolling is passed through the wire drawing grinding tool.
c. Use a wire drawing machine to thin the wire rod to the diameter required to produce the welding core.
d. Use the wire cutter to straighten and cut the wire rod to become the welding core.
2. Powder blending
According to the requirements of different brands and specifications of welding rods, the welding powder of various raw materials shall be mixed in proportion.
According to the requirements of different brands and specifications of electrodes, water glass with different specific gravity is prepared.
a. Dry mix the welding powder with a mixer, and mix the welding powder evenly.
b. Water glass is added to the dry welding powder which is evenly stirred, and the welding powder is wet stirred.
5. Coating and pressing process
a. It can be divided into two ways of spiral coating and hydraulic pressure coating;
(1) Spiral coating:
The wire feeder forces the processed core from the 45 ° direction to the spiral coating machine, the spiral machine reamer pushes the mixed welding powder forward, and applies the welding powder on the surface of the core through the head.
(2) Hydraulic pressure coating:
Put the welding powder into the hydraulic powder applicator. The wire feeder forces the processed welding core from 45 ° to the hydraulic powder applicator. The hydraulic powder applicator pushes the powder forward and applies the welding powder on the surface of the welding core through the head.
b. After the powder coating, the welding core falls on the grinding head and tail machine, and the arc striking end and clamping end of the electrode are ground out, and then it becomes the electrode.
c. The welding electrode is transported to the front and auxiliary line equipment through the grinding head and tail machine, the eccentricity and defective products of the welding electrode are inspected, and the unqualified welding electrode is recycled and then produced.
6. Printing process
The trademark and model shall be printed on the electrode.
7. Drying process
The electrode will be dried, after the low temperature preheating area, medium temperature drying, high temperature drying and cooling, it will become the electrode.
8. Conduct secondary appearance inspection, weighing, packaging and warehousing for the dried electrode.
