1.Composition of the plant
The sulphur-burning sulphuric acid plant includes the raw material workshop section, sulphur melting workshop section, sulphur burning and conversion workshop section, dry absorption workshop section, low-temperature heat recycling system, finished product workshop section, power generation workshop section, desalting-water station, circulating water station, power distribution and transformer room and control room.
2.Selection of production process and process technology
The sulphur-burning sulphuric acid plant shall be designed with daily production capacity of 900t sulphuric acid (100% sulphuric acid). The device takes the solid or liquid sulphur as raw material and uses "3+2" two-conversion two-absorption process and high-quality catalyst to produce the sulphuric acid and make full use of high/medium/low temperature waste heat recycled.
The plant uses the sulphur-burning sulphuric acid technology, with rapid sulphur melting, liquid sulphur filtering, "3+2" two conversions, drying of 98% acid, two times of high/medium-temperature absorptions, arrangement of fan at outlet of the drying tower, full utilization of waste heat and other processes. The main characteristics of the sulphur-burning sulphuric acid technology are as follows:
1. The rapid sulphur melting groove shall be used to melt the sulphur; the liquid sulphur shall be filtered by the liquid sulphur filter. The sulphur melting groove and the filter pump groove shall be designed together and arranged on the floor, thereby simplifying the process, facilitating operation and maintenance and reducing investment of the project.
The liquid sulphur bought shall be directly unloaded to the sulphur melting groove.
2. The high-pressure sulphur pump and high-performance liquid sulphur mechanical atomization spray gun shall be used, thereby improving the burning efficiency of the sulphur burning furnace.
3. The sulphur burning furnace shall use the method of heating with positive pressure, namely the method which saves the startup expense and can control and adjust the production conveniently.
4. Heating with method of heat accumulation shall be used during heating through conversion, thereby saving electric furnace and investment of electric appliances.
5. "3+2" five-section conversion, III-II heat exchanging process, with total conversion ratio of 99.8%.
6. 98% acid drying and absorption shall be applied to the whole dry absorption and circulating acid system; and the three-tower two-groove dry absorption process shall be taken. The secondary absorption tower shall use high/medium-temperature absorption which can effectively restrain formation of acid mist, increasing the droplet and facilitating removal of mist.
7. The waste heat boiler shall be arranged at the outlet of the sulphur burning furnace; and the high-temperature superheater and medium-temperature superheater shall be arranged at the outlets of the first section, the fourth section and the fifth section of the converter respectively to recycle the waste heat and accordingly produce the medium-pressure superheated steam.
8. The dry absorption tower shall be designed with high efficiency; the metal mesh pad demister shall be installed at the outlet of the drying tower; and the high-performance fiber demister shall be arranged on the absorption tower to protect the catalyst and ensure that the tail gas to be discharged is in line with the requirement of environmental protection.
